About Me & Vision
After graduating as the only Vietnamese journalism student in my class, which is something I'm proud of, because in Memphis, there are no Asian reporters or news anchors on TV. I wanted to become a journalist during my second semester as a freshman. I love to write and post about entertainment, culture, news, and food. I've grown to love Memphis more because I've been able to interact with so many people and hear their stories. I've grown as a person and love continuing to learn new things.
Seeing Asians in the communications field in other cities inspires me to represent my heritage in the South. Volunteering within the Memphis community and being a student leader for the Vietnamese Student Association has led me to realize the importance of cultural exchange and valuing every individual's background. I aim to diversify the field of communications by utilizing my perspective as a Vietnamese woman to create posts and stories that highlight what occurs in Memphis.
